Build Slot Availability

So you are looking for a vintage engine for your upcoming project.    

Here are some guidance notes to help you plan your project and ensure we can supply an engine to fit with your plans. Here at MPS we work on a build slot basis, each slot being approximately 3 to 4 months long depending on the specification and size of the engine in question. We run two build slots side by side. Currently (as of the 08.11.2017) the next available build slots are shown below.

  • Dec 17 - Mar 18 - Fully Booked
  • Aug 18 - Nov 18 - 1 x slot available
  • Apr 18 - Jul 18 - 1 x slot available
  • Dec 18 - Mar 19 - 2 x slots available

Specialist Restorers of Vintage Diesel Engines

Here at Marine Power Services we specialise in the restoration and supply of vintage diesel engines and usually have in stock Gardner LW's, Kromhout LW and LS's and Lister JP's ready for restoration. Although our primary business is engines for the inland waterways we also recondition engines for many other uses including generators, railway locomotives, trucks and sea going vessels. All our engines are restored to the highest standards and each engine is individually finished to meet the customers requirements.

We pride ourselves on our use of British made parts wherever possible and using British specialist craftsmen. Many of our parts are made for us by the original OEM suppliers to the original manufacturers specification and in some cases to higher standards made possible by improvements in technology over the years.

This website has been developed to provide an online meeting place and information resource relating to many vintage oil and diesel engines, including Dorman, Gardner, Kromhout, Lister and Ruston. Whether you are interested in stationary, automotive, traction or marine application engines this site is open to all interested in the vintage engine world.
