Pair of Ailsa Craig RF2's
Ailsa Craig RF2's - Year of Manufacture 1938
Engine current condition - Dismantled, Donated to the Internal Fire Museum.
This pair of Ailsa Craig RF2's, 20hp @ 1200 rpm, had been removed from M/Y Ruda for overhaul and some minor modification for use in the modern world. Unfortunately after strip down and inspection it became apparent that the performance issues being experienced by the owner were due to these engines being underpowered for Ruda resulting in the engines exhibiting damage relating to overloading, It was therefore decided to repower Ruda and find the Ailsa Craigs a home for their retirement.
