Recently arrived with us here at MPS is this 1976 built Gardner 6LXB (150hp @ 1500rpm) originally from a Smith's crane this 6LXB is with us for overhaul and conversion to automotive spec to repower an Scammell Explorer currently fitted with a Meadows petrol engine. This overhaul and conversion will include change to enclosed automotive type bell housing and flywheel, addition of oil cooler pump and pipework and resetting of the injector pumps for the automotive 180hp @ 1850rpm rating.
