Kromhout Gardner 3LW - Year of Manufacture May 1935
Engine current condition - Dismantled (Awaiting build Slot start December 2018)
This 1935 built Kromhout Gardner 3LW, 36hp @ 1200rpm, originally powered a dutch bus. This engine is a very early example of the Gardner LW series engines that were built under licence from L.Gardner & Sons by Kromhout Motoren Fabriek in Holland and is now awaiting total restoration and conversion to marine specification Including 2:1 ratio PRM 280 gearbox.

Samofa 2S108 - Year of Manufacture 1967

Recently arrived with MPS is this Samofa 2S108 Marine. 20hp @ 1000rpm. Although a running engine when purchased by the owner this engine has been sat for some years, because of this the engine is with us for strip, inspection and overhaul before being fitting in a new narrowboat.

Gardner 3L2 - Year of Manufacture Aug 1930
Engine current condition - Undergoing Restoration
Currently available is this 1930 built Gardner 3L2, 28.5hp @ 1000 rpm. Removed from a motor boat on the Isle of Wight to make way for a more modern compact engine. This engine had powered the boat from new and is fitted with 12 volt electric start and a mechanical tachometer. This engine can be supplied by MPS fitted with a choice of gearbox ratios and alternator equipment. Various options available.
