Engine current condition - Unrestored, non running (partially dismantled)
Gardner 4LW engine. 56hp @ 1300rpm. This engine is an cast iron crankcase example of this legendary British engine marque. An original marine engine this engine includes the engine mounted oil cooler and being of wartime manufacture is virtually entirely of cast iron construction, this engine is awaiting a total restoration (Can be rebuilt to suit customers needs, Automotive, Rail Traction etc).
Marine specification includes the addition of electric start 24 volt standard, 12 volt optional upgrade, fitting of a marine rear end exit exhaust manifold and the fitting of marine type engine mounting feet. The engine is also fitted with thermostatic temperature control.
This engine can be supplied as engine only or with a choice of appropriate gearboxes and adaption kit.
